la provence etang de berre

With its 15,500 hectares and the Caronte canal which links it to the Mediterranean, the Etang de Berre is one of the largest "inland seas" in Europe. Its shores are ideal for walking and hiking, particularly by following the "Istres between town and nature" circuit. Follow this itinerary and walk along the coast, enjoying the preserved coves shaded by pine trees.
The Etang de Berre offers contrasting panoramas, between an industrialised south and a north where there are pleasant pine forests, developed beaches and numerous possibilities for water sports activities. Take advantage of your stay to try your hand at windsurfing, dinghy sailing or catamaran sailing, as well as jet skiing or water skiing.

Discover the beaches of Romaniquette and Ranquet, which are suitable for swimming and are supervised all summer.
